Parramatta Legend Tim Mannah returns to Eels in new role

Tim Mannah, a stalwart of the Parramatta Eels club, has formally become an ambassador for the Parramatta Eels foundation.

Mannah, who played for just one club during his career, is a favorite among Western Sydney fans and has participated in 233 NRL games since making his debut for the blue and gold in 2009.

He has joined Peter Sterling, another Parramatta icon, as an ambassador for the foundation, which will fund academy and pathways programs and participate in important community projects.

Mannah claimed that accepting the position humbled and exalted him.

“It’s great to have Tim on board as an Ambassador of the Eels Foundation, his connection to the Club and our community make him a perfect fit for this role. Tim’s desire to see the Club succeed and give back to the Eels community will add great value to the Foundation, and I’m sure he will help create a positive impact for future generations of Eels players coming through our system, as he did during his time as a player at the Club,” Sarantinos said.

It occurs when the Eels are almost finished building a new center of excellence that will grow to be Australia’s biggest rugby league stadium.

While the foundation will foster social and community participation, the facility will also serve as a display for Parramatta history and benefit the local community.
