Nathan Lowe receives classy message from Walsall after scoring on Stoke City return

The goal by Nathan Lowe, a former Walsall loanee, on his Stoke City comeback “delighted” Mat Sadler.

Lowe took just nine minutes to score against West Brom at the Hawthorns after being called up by the Potters on Sunday night.

Lowe played 84 minutes on his maiden Championship start, and the Baggies earned a point after Grady Diangana equalized in the 62nd minute.

In 30 games in all competitions, the 19-year-old scored 18 goals and assisted on seven more, and Sadler is optimistic he can keep up his good play at the Bet365 Stadium.

“I made the point of saying, please send Nathan messages to let him know we’re thinking of him and we’re happy for him but we’ve got our jobs to do.

“There was certainly no avoid the fact that he had gone but we just carry on. We know what a team we’ve got and what a spirit we’ve got.”

With a 4-2 victory over MK Dons at Bescot to begin life without Lowe, Walsall extended their club record winning streak to nine games.

The Saddlers maintained their 12-point advantage at the top of League Two thanks to goals from David Okagbue, Liam Gordon, Harry Williams, and Albert Adomah.
